Here I will post the development of the interface.

Currently it's quite simple, but that could be an advantage to keep. There is a slide out menu to the left to reduce screen clutter.

Any dialog shown is not final - this is just me writing something quick to test the interface.

Wasn't happy with that in the end. It didn't seem moody enough.

Instead I have come up with this. It's dark and gives better contrast with the graphics. I think it feels more immersive.

The other thing is I felt it would be good to make it more mobile friendly, mainly tablets, so it's gone from horizontal layout to vertical. The log of past chat will now be stored and reachable from the pop out menu, rather than being displayed on screen directly.

Yes, I was thinking the previous style looks a little dated. All that relatively bright open space didn't look good.

The still minimal dark design gives us a better contrast and allows me more freedom with the design.

Thanks to some feedback I have now introduced a checkbox that allows you to turn off the typing effect.

It's in the left panel. It takes effect after it's finished typing initially, from there on it should not type but will instead instantly show the text and not play the typing sound. I have elected to turn it off by default as I work on it as it hinders me a bit.

Also I have made the dice rolls automatic as per a suggestion that it might get tedious after a while.

Again, thanks to feedback; I've added a way of introducing sound effects, so far it plays a satisfying sound when you pick something up.  :)

Yes I noticed the sound when I picked the the pool cue.

The cheese was tasty too.   ;D

Haha, yeah the cheese I added so I could have edible and inedible things as someone tried to eat the gun  ;D

Glad the sound effect works though with the cue etc - that room is a dead end at the moment, I'm still thinking of how to handle a game, or even if it's needed atm.

I spoke to a regular player on Discord and they thought that hyperlinks are a good thing. By which I mean you can click some text to perform some action.

A picture is worth a million words, so see the attachment.  Now you can click on the location to go to them or click on the object to examine them. You can still type it out if you prefer.

This makes it better for mobile use too. I will notify when this is made live.

Okay that's live now, you should see hyperlinks now.

If not clear your cache and do a hard reload - usually CTRL + f5

I've made one of the dice rolls automatic now. To test that go to the convention room and try to search it.

The hyperlinks are a great idea, much easier to click than type  O0
